KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Even though there was one shot fired, police say no one was injured in an armed robbery Wednesday night at a pharmacy in Kalamazoo.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says at 8:20 p.m. an unknown subject entered the pharmacy in the 1000 block of East Cork Street, approached the counter and demanded “pills” while pointing a handgun at an employee.
During the robbery, one shot was fired in the direction of the employee before the suspect went around the counter and stole multiple bottles of medication. The subject then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
KDPS says they are seeking the assistance of the community and those with knowledge of the case to come forward contact them at (269)337-8139.
The video below came from a surveillance camera in the pharmacy.
