KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The body found in the Kalamazoo River two weeks ago has been identified as 43-year-old David Williams of Kalamazoo.
He was the motorcyclist who jumped in the river New Year’s Day to flee police.
Williams was identified through the use of comparative radiography by the WMU School of Medicine, the medical examiner, and the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Crime Lab.
Officers pulled him over on January 1 for a license plate violation and he took off, jumping into the river with officers seeing him going under the water and not resurfacing.
