Van Buren County Sheriff K-9 officer finds missing toddler

GENEVA TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Van Buren Sheriff’s Office has recovered a three-year-old boy who was reported missing Monday.

K-9 officer Kuno found a footprint leading northwest from the boy’s home on 68th Street near Baseline Road in Geneva Township and followed the track for nearly a quarter mile.

Kuno found the child about 50 yards from a large body of water.

The sheriff’s office says the boy had minor scratches but was in good health.
