BC Fire Marshal investigating blaze in unoccupied duplex on East Bidwell

BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Battle Creek Fire Marshal Division is investigating a Saturday night fire which caused about $53,000 worth of damage to an unoccupied multi-family duplex at 25 East Bidwell.

The fire was reported just after 9:00 p.m.. It was not immediately known who owned the property.

Battle Creek firefighters found heavy fire coming out of the windows on the second floor when they arrived.

Fire crews made an aggressive interior attack and quickly gained fire control. No injuries were reported.
