COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Area shoppers will have another choice for a farmers market this summer.
The Comstock Township Farmers Market will take place Mondays from 3:00-7:00 p.m. starting June 3 at Merrill Park. It will run through Sept. 30, only taking a break on Labor Day. There will also be a bonus market on Saturday, Sept. 28 during the township’s 3rd Annual Fall Fest.
Comstock Township Parks and Rec Program Coordinator Katie Bush, who is managing the market, said recent surveys and past master plans showed the community was interested in having a farmers market. She is hoping for 10 to 20 vendors.
In addition to vendors, there will also be a kid zone and weekly entertainment.
Two informational meetings, Wednesday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 9 at 3:00 p.m. will be held at the Comstock Township Hall, 5858 King Highway. These informational meetings will review required State and Local licenses and regulations.
