WASHINGTON D.C. (WKZO AM/FM) – Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Debbie Dingell are calling for a long term cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war after at least 104 people were killed yesterday in Gaza as they were trying to get food from aid trucks.
Over 30,000 people have been killed in Gaza since the war began last October.
Tlaib says around 53-percent of Michiganders want a ceasefire, with 74-percent of Democrats and 64-percent of independents wanting the fighting to stop.
Dingell says a family in her district has lost 40 family members in the war.
