CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Cassopolis, Battle Creek, and Albion will all be sharing in the Michigan State Housing Department Authority’s third wave of MI-HOPE funding, awarding $7.4M in grants for energy-efficient home upgrades throughout the state.
Neighborhoods Inc. of Battle Creek will receive $495,000, the Village of Cassopolis gets $198,000, and the Albion Economic Development Corporation was awarded $495,000.
Since October 2022, MSHDA has provided MI-HOPE grants to local government and nonprofit agencies, who distribute support to residents in their communities through an application process. Homeowners can increase the energy efficiency of their homes through repairs and upgrades, such as roof and window replacement, HVAC modifications, electrical and appliance upgrades, storm door installation and more.
