LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer admits she’s not sure how much impact a campaign to vote “Uncommitted” will have in Tuesday’s Democratic primary.
Speaking on CNN’s State of the Union, the second-term Democrat expressed pride in her state being home to “robust” Muslim and Jewish communities that have “lived in harmony” for decades. Arab-Americans in Michigan are protesting President Biden’s backing of Israel during the Israel-Hamas war.
Democratic Congresswoman and Palestinian-American Rashida Tlaib is among those calling for voters to pick “Uncommitted” instead of President Biden in Tuesday’s presidential primary.
Whitmer said her biggest concern is that a vote against Biden is a vote for “a second Trump term.”
