Transition to new Michigan Republican Party chairman still not complete

LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Congressman Pete Hoekstra says he is hoping to soon have access to the Michigan Republican Party’s finances.

He was elected to replace chairwoman Kristina Karamo, but she has not vacated the office and the battle over who actually controls the GOP is going to court this week.

Hoekstra says Karamo has not turned over the party finances yet and she is also still in control of the party’s website and email list.
