Fire in Upton Avenue abandoned home being investigated by BC Fire Marshal

BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Battle Creek Fire Marshal is investigating a Wednesday night fire in a vacant structure on Upton Avenue.

The fire was reported just before 10:00 p.m..

Firefighters saw smoke coming from the front room when they arrived.

It was quickly put out and contained in the room of origin.

No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at over $10,000.
