OKEMOS, MI — Okemos High School students are receiving a bonus day off. Students are being sent home this morning after school leaders decided to cancel class because of heating issues with a school boiler.
According to the school district, it had hoped to be able to hold classes even without a boiler to provide heat, but by 9:00 A.M. on Monday morning decided it would be in the best interest of students to send them home for the day while the boiler is fixed.
