KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Chinese Association of Greater Kalamazoo will welcome in the Year of the Dragon Saturday with their 43rd Annual Kalamazoo Chinese Lunar New Year Gala.
Organizers say the event at Chenery Auditorium, 714 South Westnedge Avenue, Kalamazoo, will feature a new lineup of performers. The event begins at 6:00 p.m.
Chinese Association of Greater Kalamazoo President Mei Hua says, “We invite the community to join us for a night of spectacular performances and engaging activities, including Chinese Yo-yo and Lion Dancing, among others. This event promises fun for all ages, providing a unique opportunity to experience the richness of Asian culture.”
Kalamazoo Mayor David Anderson and former Vice Mayor Dr. Don Cooney will be joining the celebration. Western Michigan University Board Trustee Lynn Chen-Zhang from Zhang Financial will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.
