Nearly 1.3 million in Michigan apply for absentee ballots before this month’s presidential primary

LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says nearly 1.3 million people have requested an absentee ballot ahead of the presidential primary.

Benson says that is an 80-percent increase in ballot requests over the 2020 presidential primary.

The election will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024 and early voting begins Saturday, February 17.
