BARRY COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Drivers of General Motors vehicles that were recalled last May over concerns the airbags could send shrapnel into the cabin are frustrated and angry there is still no fix.
Among them is Kelly Root of Barry County, whose 2017 Chevrolet Traverse was among the over 457,000 vehicles recalled from model years 2014 through 2017 and says she is worried to drive to Grand Rapids or Lansing due to the issue.
She has been to several dealerships asking when the fix would be available and has not received an answer, while GM says they are working with suppliers to make the replacement parts available “as soon as possible,” but does not have a date estimate.
