PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A parole compliance check at the Kalamazoo Probation Enhancement Program/Red Arrow Motel in Paw Paw Township led to the arrest of eight people Tuesday night.
Deputies and detectives from the narcotics unit of the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office and Michigan Department of Corrections agents conducted the compliance check at the transitional housing facility around 11:30 p.m.
During a search of the 14 rooms at the facility deputies say three people were found with methamphetamine, two were found with ammunition for a firearm, and one was found with psychedelic mushrooms.
In all, seven people were arrested on violations and and taken to the Van Buren County Jail.
Deputies say there was another person visiting, who was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant and possession of meth.
