KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Six Kalamazoo area police agencies will hold their first ever Advocates and Leaders for Police and Community Trust, or ALPACT, report card forum on Thursday.
It will be at the Douglass Community Center at 1000 West Patterson Street in Kalamazoo.
Questions will be able to be submitted starting at 5:30 p.m., and the forum will start at 6 p.m.
Leaders from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department, Portage Police Department, Kalamazoo Township Police Department, Western Michigan University Police Department, and the Michigan State Police will report on their individual department initiatives and transparency items for 2023.
Topics will include citizen complaints, use of force incidents, hiring and retention, and community outreach.
The forum is designed to promote and continue transparency initiatives developed by law enforcement leadership.
