BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) Mich. – A 23-year-old Lansing man has been arrested in connection with last week’s murder of Israel Temple of Battle Creek.
Battle Creek Police say they arrested the suspect in Lansing on Friday with the assistance of Tri-County Metro Narcotics and the Lansing Violent Crimes Initiative Unit.
The suspect was jailed on felony murder and weapons charges. Police expect his arraignment next week.
The Kalamazoo Township Police Department and Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team also assisted during this investigation.
Temple was killed in a shooting that occurred during the early morning hours of January 12 in the 100 block of North Wabash Avenue.
He was declared dead after police arrived on the scene.
