THREE RIVERS, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Two adults and a child were able to get out of a upside down vehicle that went into the Portage River northeast of Three Rivers on Thursday.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department reports the crash took place near Haines and South Fisher Lake Roads.
They say the westbound vehicle ran off the road to the left and overturned in the river.
The three occupants of the vehicle were taken to the Three Rivers Emergency Room for exposure to the cold.
The Three Rivers Fire Department and Broker’s Towing assisted deputies. The Sheriff’s Department did not release information as to what caused the vehicle to go off the road.
