BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A 24-year-old Battle Creek man died early Friday morning from apparent gunshot wounds during a shooting that occurred on North Wabash Avenue.
Battle Creek Police continue to investigate and are looking for a suspect.
Police say they responded to a call of shots fired in the 100 block of North Wabash Avenue around 3:42 a.m.. They found a dead man after their arrival.
The victim was later identified as 24-year-old Israel Temple.
The department’s Detective Bureau, Gang Suppression Unit, and Crime Lab are working on this investigation.
Police are working on investigative leads and do not believe the community is in further danger from this incident.
