BARRY TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A man who police say made death threats made on multiple Barry Township residents and planned a hostile take-over of a township in Barry County has been arrested.
Barry Township Police Chief Chief Jenny Johnson says a preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect that made the threats had the means to carry out the threats.
Minutes after receiving the complaint Monday, Barry Township Officers along with Prairieville Officers, established the location of 40-year-old Christopher Charles Mickey while he was traveling towards Barry Township.
Officers attempted a traffic stop, but Mickey fled into the Delton VFW parking lot. They managed to apprehend him, and he is lodged at the Barry County Jail.
Mickey was arraigned on multiple charges, including Dangerous Weapon Carrying with Unlawful Intent, Police Officer / Flee & Elude, Threat of Terrorism, Weapons / Carrying Concealed, and Reckless Driving
