KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The City of Kalamazoo is helping people get rid of their Christmas trees and helping the environment.
The city’s annual trees-into-mulch collection started Friday. People can drop off their trees in the parking lot at 322 East Stockbridge. Any lights, ornaments, and garlands need to be removed first.
The trees will be chopped and turned into mulch to support new growth. The trees-into-mulch program runs through January 31, 2024.
