COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — For the rest of December, only immediate family members of athletes and school staff will be allowed to attend any home athletic events at Comstock High School.
Superintendent Jeffrey Thoenes says that recommendation was made by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office after 30 shots were fired from four guns during Tuesday’s boys’ basketball game against Lawrence High School.
No one was hurt in the shooting, which remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
The school resource officer will also attend all home games and a representative of the administration will go to all road games.
Thoenes says they will revisit the issue next month.
