COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — More than 30 shots were fired from four guns in the parking lot of Comstock High School Tuesday night while the boys junior varsity and varsity basketball games and a West Michigan Homeschool Fine Arts Christmas concert were taking place.
Comstock Public Schools superintendent Jeff Thoenes says everyone was kept inside and says no one involved was affiliated with the school district.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller says they are thankful no one was hurt and says it could have been much worse.
The shooters had been kicked out of the basketball game after an argument began in the bleachers.
Comstock High School was closed Wednesday as a result of the shooting, with Thoenes saying that was due to some students being witnesses.
