KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A group of local high school and college students are planning a protest this Saturday, they say “to commemorate the young lives taken in Gaza and to advocate for a ceasefire and immediate humanitarian aid.”
The “Remembering the Children of Gaza” event is endorsed by Kalamazoo Nonviolent Opponents of War (KNOW) Palestine Solidarity Working Group, the Western Michigan University Arab Students Organization, Kalamazoo College Students for Justice in Palestine, and Palestine Solidarity Grand Rapids.
It will be held in Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo from 4:00-5:30 p.m.
They plan to give speeches, followed by a candlelight march around the park.
