COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The family of 35-year-old Heather Kelley of Portage says they are still seeking answers a year after she disappeared.
Kelley was a mother of eight kids between six and 18-years-old and her cousin Lashawn Perry says some of the kids don’t understand what happened to their mother.
Relatives gathered Sunday, the one-year anniversary of her disappearance, where her car was found in Comstock Township and released balloons.
Her boyfriend, Carlos Watts of Kalamazoo, is listed as a suspect but has denied killing her.
He was on federal parole and had disconnected his tether for several hours the day she disappeared.
