KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Broncos Kitchen Foundation has been given a $20,000 donation from LifeSpring Church of Oshtemo.
The nonprofit hunger relief operation says the money will make a “significant impact in providing free dinners to food-insecure college students at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College, and Kalamazoo Valley Community College.”
Officials say the donation will pay for 20 weeks of free dinners starting in January 2024.
They will also be able to reinstate Thursday dinners to go along with their Monday night meals.
Broncos Kitchen is also asking for students and others to volunteer to serve meals Thursday evenings and say it will make a difference in the lives of thousands of college students who need volunteer hours to complete coursework or fulfill requirements to maintain fraternity and sorority memberships.
