KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Cooking your Thanksgiving dinner will cost less this year.
According to the Michigan Farm Bureau, cooking a holiday feast for 10 people will cost about $61 this Thanksgiving, down 4.5% from last year.
Lead economist Loren Koeman says lower turkey prices are driving down the cost of the entire meal.
Other Thanksgiving staples that are cheaper this year include stuffing mix, cranberries, pie crust, and whipped cream.
Despite the drop, this year’s meal still costs 25% more than before the COVID-19 pandemic.
