BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The City of Battle Creek is inviting residents to help them name 10 snowplows.
The naming contest kicks off the city’s annual Snowtifications, the annual series of tips and reminders about Battle Creek snow removal and operations during the winter.
The information can be found on the city’s Facebook page and Nextdoor. Some of these also appear in the upcoming BC City Connection newsletter, and online at battlecreekmi.gov/snow.
Snowplow name submissions will be accepted through Friday, December 15. The form is on the city’s website at www.battlecreekmi.gov, in the City Spotlights, or on the snow page.
Obscene, profane, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate names will not be considered.
The city will release the list of submitted names during the week of December 18 and residents can vote for their top 10 through Friday, January 12.
The new plow names will be announced in late January 2024.
