DECATUR TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An abandoned home has burned in Van Buren County. Firefighters from several departments responded to the flames Thursday afternoon around 3:30 on 42nd Street north of 82nd Avenue in Decatur Township.
The home and the surrounding woods were both on fire.
The home had been abandoned for several years and the investigation into what started the fire is ongoing.
Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputies said there were several small explosions while the fire was being fought.
