GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An Allegan County woman has pled guilty in federal court to charges of making a false statement in a medical record affecting a healthcare benefit program and to identity theft.
Forty-nine-year-old Leticia Gallarzo admitted that she stole someone’s identity to get a nursing job for several years.
Gallarzo claimed to be a registered nurse with a Davenport University bachelor’s degree in nursing when she applied with a nursing home.
She reportedly assessed elderly patients and signed electronic records. She faces up to seven years in prison.
