KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A one-year-old child from Kalamazoo who police believe was abused has died due to significant injuries it sustained.
According to a release from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, the child died Wednesday, November 1 around 3:00 p.m. at a local hospital.
At approximately 5:00 a.m. October 28, 2023 officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to the report an injured child at the hospital stemming from an incident that occurred in the 3300 block of Michigamme Woods Drive.
KDPS named 32-year-old Tyrone Sheppard and 31-year-old Tiffany Moor, both of Kalamazoo, as persons of interest in the case. They reportedly dropped the child off at the hospital, then left.
No word if or when any charges might be filed in the case.
