DETROIT,, MI — The United Auto Workers strike is over at all three Detroit automakers. The union reached a tentative deal last week with Ford, got a tentative agreement with Stellantis over the weekend, and on Monday reached a deal with General Motors. The contracts still need the ratification vote of the UAW at all three companies.
It’s expected that all plants, including the Delta Township plant in Lansing, will reopen pending final approval of the new contract. Monday was the 46th day of the Detroit-based union’s walkout against GM.
The new four-year contracts all include pay raises of 25% by the end of the deals. Cost of living adjustments are also included in each contract and will bring the raises to over 30%.
