UPDATE: Portage police identify body found Sunday as a 47-year-old Kalamazoo man

PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Portage Department of Public Safety says the deceased body found in a ditch Sunday afternoon has been identified as a 47-year-old Kalamazoo man.

The body of Daleian Norris was found around 4:20 p.m. by a pedestrian walking in the 4200 block of Long Lake Drive.

The cause of death is pending results of an autopsy and the case remains under investigation by the Portage Department of Public Safety, but a news release Sunday called the death of Norris “suspicious.”
