LAWTON, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The village of Lawton in Van Buren County is now searching for its next village manager.
Village president John Appleby said at their meeting October 10 that Manager Lisa Imus will be leaving the job in the next few weeks after she was hired in March 2020.
Imus is taking a new job with Van Buren County, and Department of Public Works director Todd Hackenberg will be the interim village manager.
Appleby says Imus joined the village at a critical point and guided them through the COVID-19 pandemic. He called her approach “innovative and thoughtful,” saying her guidance was the key to Lawton’s success. Interested candidates can send a cover letter, resume, and three professional references in an email to clerk@lawton.org.
