BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Battle Creek Fire Department has scheduled its eighth Fire Prevention Week open house for Saturday, October 14 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Station 2 which is located at 145 North Washington Avenue.
The community is invited to enjoy hot dogs, games, tours of this historic station, checking out the fire equipment, and prize drawings.
The annual open house caps off National Fire Prevention Week which will be held between October 8 and 14.
Residents are are invited to the Fire Prevention Week open house event that includes Battle Creek and other local fire and public safety agencies on Wednesday, October 11 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Pennfield Family Fare store at 1603 Capital Ave. NE.
As always, city fire crews will visit Battle Creek, Lakeview, and other kindergarten classes throughout Fire Prevention Week.
