KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – God’s Kitchen of Michigan, a nonprofit hunger-relief organization serving Kalamazoo, Portage, and Battle Creek, has officially launched its 2023 free holiday dinner fundraiser.
Organizers says this year’s goal is $15,000. The money will be used to purchase food, supplies, and toys.
“We have moved up our fund drive due to inflation, and fewer donations received from area corporations and foundations,” said Reverend William Stein, Chairman of God’s Kitchen of Michigan.
“Our charity does not receive government funding. Therefore, we must appeal to the public to help us continue our mission of providing free dinners for the homeless, elderly, disabled, veterans, and other needy families,” Stein said.
If you would like to support this year’s holiday dinners, there are several options to give. You can mail a check or money order to God’s Kitchen of Michigan, P.O. Box 2632, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49003, or donate online at www.godskitchenofmichigan.org or www.gofundme.com/f/2023holidayfund.
