FENNVILLE, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – A head-on crash in Allegan County Thursday morning resulted in three people being taken to the hospital, all with serious injuries.
The crash occurred just before 6:00 a.m. at 56th Street and 116th Avenue near Fennville.
Police say the at-fault driver fell asleep and crossed the centerline, striking a northbound vehicle.
The driver and infant in the at-fault vehicle were taken to Helen Devos Hospital with the infant suffering serious injuries. The driver of the second car was taken to Holland Hospital with serious injuries.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Michigan State Police, LIFE EMS, Clyde Township Fire Department, and Allegan Central Dispatch assisted in the incident response.
The accident remains under investigation.
