BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Battle Creek Police are investigating the shooting of three men in their mid 20s on Sunday night in the Post Addition area.
Police say they were called to the area of Nelson Street and Lathrop Avenue at 9:26 p.m. Sunday for a complaint of shots fired.
They found two men with what were described as non-life-threatening gunshot wounds in a home in the 100 block of Nelson. LifeCare Ambulance took both men to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. They were treated for their injuries and released.
Officers received information a short time later about a third shooting victim who had arrived at Bronson Battle Creek with two gunshot wounds to the abdomen. The 25-year-old Battle Creek man is being treated for his injuries and is expected to survive.
Police do not believe the community is in further danger from this situation, and do not believe this situation is connected to any other recent shootings.
