KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – You may have already noticed an increase in street rodders and muscle car owners in Kalamazoo, as it does every year at this time.
The National Street Rod Association’s Street Rod Nationals North is once again being held this weekend at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center and Fairgrounds, and this year they have added another feature. It’s a parade that will give you a chance to see the cars for free and on the move Friday.
Dana Wagner at Discover Kalamazoo says about 100 of the 2000 cars that will be on display at the fairgrounds will be participating in the parade
City of Kalamazoo Mayor David Anderson will be the Grand Marshall.
Admission is $19 for adults and $6 for teens. Children 6 through 12 are free. It runs through Sunday.
The cars will come down Kalamazoo Avenue To Rose, and then turn on Michigan to the Downtown Mall, where the viewing will be the best beginning at 12 noon.
For the event at the Expo Center, gates will open at 8:00 a.m. all three days, closing Friday at 7:00 p.m., Saturday at 5:00 p.m., and Sunday at 12:30 p.m .
