COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo County deputies are on the lookout for a man they say shot at a Comstock Township enforcement officer Wednesday morning, July 26.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says the officer was in Comstock Cemetery to check for illegal dumping when he came across a man who brandished a weapon and fired a single shot.
They went onto say that Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Michigan State Police were called into assist, but the man was nowhere to be found.
Authorities describe the suspect as a six-foot-tall white man with a medium build, long dark-colored hair and a scruffy beard, wearing cargo pants and a blue button-up shirt with no shoes on.
