LANSING, MI — It’s been a long summer of road construction and detours for daily commuters who travel the I-496 and US-127 corridors in Lansing near Frandor. Now the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the eastbound I-496 ramp to NB US-127 on Wednesday night to allow crews to safely pour a new bridge deck.
The project is part of the $9.5 million project to rebuild two ramps at the US-127/I-496 interchange in Ingham County. The project is expected to be completed by the weekend.
