SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Maritime Museum is inviting the public to its 21st Annual Fish Boil Fundraiser.
The event will be held on Saturday, July 15, from 5 pm to 8 pm – or until the fish runs out.
According to event organizers, the Fish Boil is the largest annual fundraiser for the Museum, and that everything from the fish to the napkins is donated through the generosity of businesses and organizations in the South Haven community, allowing all proceeds to support the Museum’s operating expenses.
The event is also set to feature a 50/50 raffle and a cash bar.
Fish boils were first brought to the Great Lakes by Scandinavian immigrants in the 19th century and have remained a staple of freshwater culture ever since, say Museum officials.
Tickets can be purchased at the door with a take out option available.
