KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Road Commission of Kalamazoo County has been a leader in its ability to maintain the roads in its jurisdiction outside the metro area, but not everyone is happy with them, especially bike riders.
They say the Road Commission has been slow to establish safe bike lanes and post signs. Road Commission Manager Joanna Johnson says they’ve put up a survey on their website to get input on what the public wants in a Safety Action Plan.
“We appreciate any feedback and noting any areas of concern along our county network,” said Johnson who stressed that the deadline for filling out the survey is this coming Saturday, July 15th.
The survey can be accessed on their homepage online at kalamazoocountyroads.com.
The Road Commission of Kalamazoo County maintains the largest network of roads in the county, nearly 13-hundred miles of pavement.
