LANSING, MI — It was an emotional weekend in Lansing where the community said goodbye to the two-year-old girl who was kidnapped and killed last week.
Friends, family members, and neighbors got together at the Michigan Capitol to remember Wynter Cole-Smith. The crowd at the Capitol rally asked for justice.
Police say her mother’s ex, Rashad Trice, kidnapped her last Sunday. Wynter’s body was found in Detroit on Wednesday. Prosecutors say Trice may face the death penalty, he’s currently facing 16 different felony counts in the case.
