KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The new superintendent of the Kalamazoo Public Schools says he has been participating in meet and greet sessions and checking out what the district has to offer and he has been impressed.
Dr. Darrin Slade says he has also visited the district’s summer schools. He says the ones he is used to are usually for students who need extra help and aren’t much fun.
He says he would like to get even more students enrolled next summer.
Slade has announced a full slate of future meets and greets, visits, and tours as he continues his own education on what the district’s staff, students, and parents expect from the district, and to let them know what he expects from them.
