BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The City of Battle Creek has released it’s annual water quality report – using data collected in 2022. This report is now available for residents to see.
The report is available on the city’s website, battlecreekmi.gov/2022waterqualityreport. From the home page, also navigate to it from the I Want To… tab, View, Annual Water Quality Reports.
Paper copies of the report can be requested by calling the Department of Public Works at 269-966-3343.
According to Battle Creek city officials, the annual report contains key information about the source and quality of the drinking water.
They go onto say the document explains where the Battle Creek area’s water comes from; gives information related to various water issues, including how the community’s drinking water is treated, lead in home plumbing; and outlines and explains the water sampling results from last year.
This year, the report also includes information about the city’s Water team, some of the projects they have accomplished in the last year along with more information specific to the Battle Creek system.
The Environmental Protection Agency requires the annual water quality report, also known as a consumer confidence report or CCR, for public water suppliers that serve the same people year-round.
