PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Portage City Council has completed their first annual evaluation of their new City Manager Patrick McGinnis, and are apparently happy with his work.
Mayor Pro Tempore Jim Pearson says he will be getting a 5% raise, which is in line with what they are giving other employees this coming year.
The first year salary for McGinnis was $200,000. He will also be getting a $7,500 bonus for making a smooth transition to the new post, and for delivering a balanced budget.
Member of the City Council also noted they like the way he has reorganized the staff to put an emphasis on community development and organization.
