KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 62-year-old Kalamazoo man is dead following a single vehicle crash Sunday morning.
At approximately 8:00 a.m, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded to the 2000 block of Portage Street in reference to single vehicle crash.
When officers arrived on scene they found Jimmy Lee White Jr. with significant injuries. Life saving measures were delivered to White, who was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Observation of the vehicle showed airbag deployment and substantial damage to the vehicle. Additionally the impact of the crash caused damage that requires Portage Street to be shut down between Alcott Street and Miller Road. The street opened late Sunday morning.
