KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – No students were injured as a vehicle ran a stop sign and collided with a school bus in Comstock Township late Thursday morning.
At 11;53 a.m. the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the accident. They say the at-fault vehicle was traveling southbound on North 30th Street when the driver failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection and collided with the school bus that was traveling eastbound on East Main Street, and who had the right of way.
The driver of the at-fault vehicle was treated at the scene by Life EMS and was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
There were no reported injuries by any of the children on the bus at the time of the accident.
The accident is still under investigation.
