BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A suspect in the shooting death of a teenager over the weekend in the parking lot of the Burger King on West Columbia Avenue is being held without bond following his arraignment in Calhoun County District Court.
Authorities say 20-year-old Jaquai Potter allegedly shot 18-year-old store employee Bobby Sims late Saturday night after confronting him.
Prosecutors have filed multiple charges against Potter including open murder. He was arrested shortly after the shooting and arraigned in Calhoun County District Court on Monday.
Potter is looking at life in prison without parole if he is convicted.
